Lord Narasimha is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu with the fierce energy of Mars. He protects his devotees from evil forces, diseases and external/internal enemies. On the occasion of his birthday on Tuesday/Wednesday (2020 May 5/6), consider doing the simplest possible Narasimha homa by yourself (even if it is your first time doing a Narasimha homa or any homa for that matter).

A manual and a short 8-minute video illustrating the simplest homa with the simplest set up, are at https://vedicastrologer.org/homa/simplest.htm.

Narsimha homa

If only you see the video on that page ONCE, you will get FULL confidence that you too can do it!!

Though this procedure is highly simplified and my full homa video is only 8 minutes, you can still do it for a long time if you want and spend time chanting Lord's mantra.

On US east coast, Vaisakha Suklla Chaturdasi starts at 1:52 pm EDT on Tuesday and ends at 10:15 am EDT on Wednesday. In India, this translates to 11:22 pm IST on Tuesday and 7:45 pm IST on Wednesday (i.e. mostly Wednesday). People living elsewhere can convert the times.

You can do it ANY time during this nearly 22 hour window. If you have full control over your schedule and want the best possible time, I suggest the dusk time (one hour before/after sunset) coming in this window wherever you live.
