I recently read that The Devas and the Asuras began to churn the ocean when the Sun entered Capricorn, when the Sun entered cancer the poison emerged from Vasuki the serpent and Lord Shiva was the one who had drank it to save the universe.

That is why during this time it is even more important to worship Lord Shiva who is drinking the poison for us continuously.

The following verse from Sri Adi Shankaracharya is extremely powerful to say before you wake up and go about your day.

Praatah Smaraami Bhava-Bhiiti-Haram Sure[a-Ii]sham
Ganggaa-Dharam Vrssabha-Vaahanam-Ambike[a-Ii]sham
Khattvaangga-Shuula-Varada-Abhaya-Hastam-Iisham
Samsaara-Roga-Haram-Aussadham-Advitiiyam |1

Meaning:

1.1 In the Early Morning, I Remember Sri Shiva, Who Destroys the Fear of Worldly Existence and Who is the Lord of the Devas,
1.2 Who Holds River Ganga on His Head, Who has a Bull as His Vehicle and Who is the Lord of Devi Ambika,
1.3 Who has a Club and Trident in His two Hands, And confers Boon and Fearlessness with His other two Hands and Who is the Lord of the Universe,
1.4 Who is the Medicine to Destroy the Disease (of Delusion) of Worldly Existence and Who is the One without a second.

*"MORNING PRAYERS & ACCEPTANCE OF THE PAST"*
*
"O Lord! Help Me Accept Gracefully What I Cannot Change.
Let me be free of  BLAMING anyone , including myself.
I cannot BLAME myself for what happened to me. Nor I can BLAME others, Because others have others to BLAME.

O Lord! Help me accept gracefully what I cannot change.
BLAMING means I want to change the past. I want my past to be different. How can it be?
O Lord! Help me accept gracefully what I cannot change. I let go of my resentment, anger, and dissatisfaction by accepting gracefully what I cannot change.
O Lord! Perhaps what I went through was meant to happen. Perhaps it was all in order.

O Lord! All the years of pain and struggle seem to have paid off, for I pray and by this prayer everything has become meaningful.
My pain, My past, has resulted in my coming to you to seek help. Intimately, I acknowledge my helplesness. I seek your help, your intervention, to make me accept what I cannot change, even what you also cannot change.
You cannot change what has happened, nor I can or anyone else. Intimately, I acknowledge this fact: what has happened cannot be changed.

O Lord! Help me totally accept what I cannot change.
My Mother's behavior, her omissions and commissions, My Father's neglect, his anger, his indifference, his lack of care, his mishandling, his mismanagement, his drinking, the fights between them, the confusion at home, my being left alone, not fondled, not cared for, not loved.
I was wrong perhaps, but this is how I felt.

O Lord! I cannot change what has happened.
Please help me accept gracefully what I cannot change. I do not want to bury the past, nor do I want to forget the past. I cannot.
I just want to ACCEPT the fact, ACCEPT the past. GRACEFULLY, I accept the past.
I even begin to see an order in all this, for do I not pray now?
I HAVE COME TO BE OBJECTIVE. I see some order here.
Please Help Me Accept Gracefully What I Cannot Change."

Venus in Pisces and Marriage Life

VENUS IN PISCES AND MARRIAGE LIFE

** copied from internet

Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces are referred to as Mutable or Movable signs. These signs are double bodied signs, as in two of these signs are related to twins or look-a-likes: Gemini (the twins) and Pisces (2 fishes). The other two figures are a human being and an animal: Virgo (maiden and bird) and Sagittarius (man and horse). As a result there are subtle differences in the effect of these double bodied signs. Dualism (Virgo and Sagittarius) or ‘two of a kind’ (Gemini and Pisces), is the difference in these signs.

What difference could there be between having Venus in Gemini or Pisces or a Venus in Virgo or Sagittarius. And how can these double bodied signs are related to marrying more than once? So, as detailed in the discussion above just the placement of Venus in one sign does not tell it all. Although, it remains possible, for example, to get married and divorced several times even when Venus is not in a double bodied zodiac.
Venus is the karaka for Sukha or comfort in life. It is the indicator of luxuries and beautiful possessions. In addition, Venus is also the Kalatra karaka or significators of spouse and relations between husband and wife. According to Vedic astrology Venus gets exalted in Pisces or Meena Rashi at 27 degrees. In general Venus in Pisces is regarded as a good placement, so it should mean that whoever has Venus exalted in Pisces should have great conjugal life but observations shows to the contrary. Whatever may be the qualities of Venus one factor runs common to all horoscopes having Venus in Pisces and that is their conjugal life is not normal and they do not enjoy conjugal relation in the mundane way. This is the observation of this scribe over a series of horoscope and tested on more than 50 horoscopes by a select team of astrologer friends, this need not be definitive and conclusive but should only serve as a point for further examination by deep researchers. Venus in Pisces and troubled marriage life should only serve as a pop up to the professional astrologer who would obviously check other astro parameters in marriage area before arriving at a conclusion.
REPORT THIS AD

It is often seen that an Uchchamsha Shukra (exalted Venus) in Meena Rashi (Pisces) often suffers animosity in the first marriage (Since Meena = 6th-from-Shukra’s Moolatrikona Rashi Thula (Libra)). Also our observation is that, if one lives in a culture which permits the native to avoid marriage indefinitely, Venus in Pisces will certainly prefer to avoid the legal contract, at least for the first union. Let us take up some horoscopes which go to prove our point.
One has to be bear in mind that Venus in Pisces is not the only criterion solely based on which one arrives at a conclusion on the marital status or conjugal bliss of a native. This configuration can be considered as an exclusive postulate in addition to various other methods to ascertain how Venus delivers it potent ability to create ups and downs in ones marital life (despite being placed in this sign of exaltation).
The 3 Postulates
Postulate 1: In the natural zodiac Venus is the 2nd and 7th lord. 2nd is Kutumb (own family) and 7th is spouse. Venus gets her exaltation in Pisces the 12th house from Aries. When Venus is placed in Pisces she is doubly powerful to destroy the two Bhavas ruled by her. Hence, Venus in Pisces often leads to discordial marriage life if other factors supports.
Postulate 2: Jupiter the depositor of Venus is also an important factor as 12th lord of natural zodiac. With Venus in Pisces when Jupiter also establishes a connection with either Venus or ascendant or 2nd house chaotic situation is created in Marriage or it is totally denied.
Postulate 3: Saturn’s aspects to exalted Venus, adds conformity to the whole deal of discord or denial.
Memorize these are the 3 Postulates that you have to double check when you see Venus in Pisces in any chart.

We have entered into the Lunar month of Śravan, during which we remember the time the Deva and Asura churned the ocean in search of immortality. An account termed 'Samudra Manthan', in India.
This month, and four months beginning from the recent Śukla Ekadaśī on 1st July, is a time of worship and not beginning any new activities.
The Gods have gone to sleep and are not available to bless any new endeavours of mankind. Principally, their night has begun and it lasts for 6 months!
This would have caused their awakening to happen ONLY during the December/January months, but in October (Navrātrī & Diwali) we forcibly awaken the Divine Mother, Śrī Durgā, to protect us during the darkest night.

The grace of the Moon

Ths Gods began the churning of the ocean much earlier when the Sun entered Capricorn. This was during a great Kala Sarpa in the sky, where the great Naga (divine serpent), Vasukī was used as a churning rope around the mount-meru, which was used as the rod to churn the ocean!

Only when the Sun entered Cancer, a kīta or insect sign, a terrible poison emerged which agitated the universe... sounds quite familiar this year!
This poison emerged from Vasukī, the great serpent, whose job was to hold all the poisons of the universe within him. Being unable to, under pressure, he vomited out the poison to the agitation of the world.

Śiva at this stage took the responsibility of holding the poison. He drank the poison and took the form of Śrī Akṣobhya, the one who removes all agitation.
His spouse, Śrī Parvatī, seeing the poison enter his body manifested as the Divine Mother, Śrī Tārā Mahavidyā, the one who gives the knowledge of crossing the stages of life, and stopped the poison from falling beyond his throat. Her devotees worship her during this transit of Sun in Cancer.

Suspending the poison in his throat, it became blue due to the burning of the poison, giving him the name Nīlakaṇṭha, lit. the blue-throated one. He is worshipped in this form as the one who can drink away the worst toxins of this world!
At this stage, with the poison burning in his throat, the Sage Atri came to his rescue. The Sage meditated deeply, causing the birth of the Moon from the ocean. This cool and resplendent Moon was placed on the head of Śiva, cooling him down from the plight of his burning. This makes the Moon the strongest and biggest blessing of the birth chart.

On Mondays, and when the Moon becomes full, during this month of Śravan, we have the opportunity to come close to Śiva, just like the Moon does. During this time we can be graced with Śiva's knowledge... and his knowledge is the entire Veda.
