GANDANTA IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY – KARMIC KNOT

Jupiter is going through Gandant degrees so I thought of penning down about this rare talked phenomenon. Will try to keep it simple so many can take the real zist of it, else in Mula Gandant I can write down 100 pages as it has too many classifications.

WHAT IS GANDANTA?

When planet is in the last 3degree 20mins of watery signs(cancecr,scorp,pisces) or first 3degree 20mins of fiery signs then it is called ‘Planet in Gandant’.

In other words planets when is in the last pada of Ashlesha, Jyeshtha, Revati or First Pada of Ashwini, Magha and Mula is in Gandant.

End of Pisces & Revati nakshatra, the beginning of Aries & Ashwinī Nakshatra

End of Cancer & Ashlesha Nakshatra, beginning of Leo & Magha Nakshatra

End of Scorpio & Jyeshtha Nakshatra, and finally, beginning of Sagittarius & Mula Nakshatra.

RESULT OF GANDANTA :

If you analyze what I have written above, you will realize Nakshatras involved are only owned by Mercury & Ketu. Mercury stands for the "Intellect" and the "thinking mind". Ketu is one Planet who can pervert the intellect with ease. Now you will be able to understand why Gandanta is a serious affliction.

Gandant is a heavy lumps of BAD Karma got saved in your Karmic account which a person never thought of clearing or changing over many births which created a knot. The native has done same sort of mistakes or bad Karma in many past lives which the native never tried to correct and chances are that, native will continue the same in present birth too. So it’s a never ending cycle to be trapped due to own Karma.

Natural malefic planets like Sun, Mars, Ketu, Rahu, Saturn, afflicted Mercury, waning and afflicted Moon are innately predisposed to cause disturbance in health whether mental or physical.

Saturn and Rahu are also the Karakas of disease and if they are linked in any manner with the disease ruling 6th house, they are rendered especially potent to give ill-health according to the Sign.

Gandanta experience can be extremely painful, but it is necessary for the soul to grow into another dimension.

Classification of Gandanta

Classification 1: Gandanta in day birth is called Pitra Gandanta (danger to father), while Gandanta in night birth is called Matri Gandanta (danger to mother).

• Classification 2: (1) Revati-Ashvini is called Sva-Gandanta (danger to self). (2) Ashlesha-Magha is called Matri Gandanta (danger to mother) and (3) Jyeshtha-Moola is called Pitra Gandanta (danger to father).

PURPOSE OF GANDANT PLANET

A planet in Gandant is very powerful, it conveys a very special purpose in life as per the planet, its signification, its lordship and positioning. So no way you can get escaped from the result of Gandant planet in your lifetime until you understand what is your Karmic load which you never tried to rectify.

Dasha of Gandant Planet:

Dasa of planets placed in Gandanta are terrible to the house lorded by the planet and the natural significations of the planet.

Planet in Gandanta showcases an inauspicious effect even during its Pratyantar Dasha I have observed.

Even Dasha Bhukti of Yogakarak planet when in Gandant can give amazing drama in life, even I have seen leading to imprisonment etc.

Dasha Bhukti of Gandant planet will bring up past life issues related to the lordship of that very planet and the person can be in constant fear even during in PD.

There are three kinds of Gandanta:

1. The Lagna Gandanta, which is at times called Swa Gandant, lots of backlog towards your own soul and lots of self destructive action done in past lives.

2. The Nakshatra Gandanta – results as per your planet lordship and significance.

3. The Tithi Gandanta – Lots of sudden unnatural obstacles in life which has no logical reasoning.

Remedy

As usual everyone will ask me whats the remedy of it? Actually the remedy which is written in Vedic scriptures is mainly Hom-Hawan just after the birth of such native also during the specific years of native repeating the same. But many do not perform such and then keep searching for remedy when stuck in life badly.

Then only Karma correction can be worked out nothing much, this is the harsh and core reality. Or

Be the evolved soul by performing many austerity to subside Gandanta effects.

SUMMERY:

Gandanta is one of the negative effects that can befall a Planet. More affliction to that planet, more rise of negative behavioral traits are guaranteed. I have observed at times, that a mental aberration due to Moon being in Gandant Degrees is less dangerous to the society and to their near and dear ones, than affliction to Mercury, Jupiter and Venus. You can lock up a lunatic person, but an intelligent criminal who you can do nothing about; because intelligent criminal constantly comes up with ways to outsmart the law. Case in point - Fank Abagnale.

P.S. Jupiter is in Gandant right now till 30th April, whoever having Planet Gandant in Mula they will surly go through lots of insecurities, constant fear, lack of productivity in life. Cause the dispositor of your Gandant planet Jupiter is also in Gandant via transit. During 2017 Saturn was crossing same degrees and many messed up badly.
