Natural Benefic and Malefic

Jupiter and Venus are natural benefics.

Sun, Mars, Rahu and Ketu are natural malefics

Moon is benefic provided it is not within 72 degrees from Sun

Mercury when acting alone is a benefic. If with malefics it becomes a malefic

Rahu acts as a Sani and Ketu acts like Mars

Conditional Benefics and Malefics

Lords of 1st, 4th, 7th and 10th cease to be natutal benefics or malefics

Lords of the trines (i.e., 5th and 9th) always give good results (whether benefic or malefic)

Lords of 3rd, 6th, and 11th give bad results

Lords of 2nd and 12th give the result of the house in which their sign falls

Sun and Moon owning one sign only, becoming lords of sign 2nd or 12th  ouse give the results dependent on the strength and influnce they are under

Lord of 8th house is considrered bad

Notes

1) lord of 11th house being malefic is intended to refer to Health issues. so far the finances are concerned, lord of 11th gives good results

2) In regard to conditional malefics and benefics for finances

A benefic for a  lagna, the stronger it is, the better it is

If benefic for a particular lagna is week and afflicted, it gives bad results, the more it is afflected, the bad the results.

A malefic for a particular lagna and is strong, the stronger it is the more harmful it becomes

If such a malefic is week and afflicted, it gives good results and the more it is afflicted the better are teh results
