Assessing wealth using the point of Prosperity and obstruction

What exactly are the planets which are called “Yogi, Avayogi, and Duplicate Yogi?”
Yogi: This is the planet which gives rise to prosperity in the best way it can.
Avayogi: This is the planet which obstructs prosperity in the best way it can.
Duplicate Yogi: This is the planet which supports prosperity, although to a lesser degree than the Yogi.

Principle 1

If the lagna point is the Yogi Nakshtra, the person will be predisposed to material prosperity. This will be all the more marked if the Yogi is strong and favouarably placed with good results.

Further notes:

Placed means how is the grah in sum total will give auspecious eor inauspecious results.
It may be well placed for prosperity and not for health
When we say favourably placed, it is from prosperity perspective

Principle 2

if the yogi itself is in lagna, there is a marked tendency towards material prosperity. This is more noticeable if the yogi is strong and well disposed.

Principle 3

If the yogi is the lord of lagna and well placed, the native is predisposed towards prosperity. Principle is somewhat less powerful than the proceeding two.

Principle 4

A sambhandha or link between the yogi and duplicate yogi creates a powerful yoga for prosperity

Principle 1
1) If the lagna point is in the ava yogi nakshtra, the person will be predisposed towards material deprivation. This will be more marked if the Ava yogi is strong.
Principle 2
If Ava Yogi itself is in the lagna, there is a mark tendancy towards material deprivation. This is more noticeable if the Ava Yogi is strong.
Principle 3
if the Ava yogi is the lord of the lagna and strong, the native is pre-disposed towards matwrial deprivation. This principle is somewhat less powerful than the proceeding two.

1) you want the Yogi and duplicate yogi to be strong and the ava yogi week.
2) If ava yogi is Moon and it is week, then manas is compromised. So prosperity perspective, it may be good but issues with mother and manas perspective
3) We like Ava yogi in the negative houses
Avyogi point in 6,8,12th houses in chart is better than being in kendra houses.
4) Ava yogi is on Lagna & strong - issues
-------> does it work all the time, you have to be careful
5) If any planet conjunct with Yogi or Avyogi then the result of that planet will be good or bad accordingly.
6) If any Yogi planet is forming any dhaan yoga or raaj yoga that will firmly bestow good results in life
7) Planets posited in Yogi points will always give positive and beneficial result in life depending on their lordship and where the planet is posited in chart.Dasha bhukti of Yogi Planet will be auspicious in life. If Moon nakshatra lord or Ascendant Nakshatra lord is Yogi Planet then the person will be prosperous through out his life specially during the Dasha bhukti of that nakshatra Lord, Reverse will be in the case of Avyogi Planet. If any planet conjunct with Yogi or Avyogi then the result of that planet will be good or bad accordingly
7)Scrutinize all the combinations in the chart for the contact of the yogi, duplicate yogi, ava yogi, grahs in their stars etc, do they get activated to either give or depriving prosperity.

To do a manual calculation you do the following (it’s fairly easy):
Yogi
1) Add the longitudes of the Sun plus the Moon, starting at 0 degrees Aries (Sidereal Zodiac).
2) Once you have your Longitude/Latitude total, add 93 degrees 20 minutes to that.
3) If you get a number that is higher than 360, subtract 360 from your total.
4) Once you have a total that is less than 360 degree, add how many 30 degree signs it takes to reach your own sign.
5) The grah that owns the Nakshtra corresponding to the Yogi point is called the Yogi. The other two Nakshtra of the Yogi point is called the Yogi Trine. The Yogi trine are also correlated with prosperity but with lesser extent

Ava Yogi

To get the Avayogi,  you add 186 degrees and 40 to Yogi Point

Duplicate Yogi

The Duplicate Yogi is the easiest one. Once you get the Yogi, the Duplicate Yogi is the planet that owns the Rashi (Sign) in which the Yogi point lies. That’s it!

This is described on page 176 - 177 of Light on Relationship by Hart De Fouw and Robert Svoboda
