Relationship Skills:
Our method of skill analysis becomes particularly important when it comes to cultivating greater awareness of how we habitually relate socially.
Susambhandha:
This yoga promises generally good relationship skills in life. This occurs when multiple Grahas (Karyesha or a Karaka) creates harmonious "skill" placement with the ascendant lord
- A person (indicated by Ascendant lord ) is likely to have an inborn ability to relate well with those people (indicated by the bhava lord) that occupy the 3rd, 5th, 9th or 11th bhavas as counted from Ascendant lord. (good relationship skills)
- The stronger these Grahs are, the greater the rapport will be.
- If the Grahas are friends to the ascendant lord, the rapport will be further signified.
- The influence of natural benefic on the pertinent grahs will further enhance the rapport
- The same series of principle applies (to a reduced extent) to the people indicated by a Karaka placed as above.
Grahas that are friendly and occupy a harmonious relative grah placement are akin to two leaders who respect and admire one another while sharing similar views.
3/11 and 5/9 placement from Asc enables the native to bring good relationship skills to bear to the situation even if the Karyesha is afflicted.
Dusambhandha
Relationship difficulties likely to abound in life when a large number of inimical disposition occur between the lord of 1st bhava and other grahas in its horoscope.
- A person (indicated by Ascendant lord ) is likely to have difficulties relating with those people (indicated by the bhava lord) that occupy the 6th, 8th or 12th bhava bhavas as counted from Ascendant lord. (bad relationship skill)
- The weaker these Grahs are, the greater the difficulties will be.
- If the Grahas are inimical to the ascendant lord, the difficulties are magnified.
- The influence of natural malefic on the pertinent grahs will further enhance these difficulties
- The same series of principle applies (to a reduced extent) to the people indicated by a Karaka placed as above.
Two grahas that are reciprocally inimical and occupy an inharmonious relative grah placement (6/8, 2/12) are mote likely to remain openly hostile, like the ruthless terrorist and officer of the law in pursuit.
Two grahas that are friends but whose relative placement is inharmonious resemble two politicians whose values and views agree, but whose personal chemistry is off. Their mutual antipathy will often prevent them from cooperating, even when it is in their mutual interest to do so.
One-one relationship:
Grah in one-one relationship actively influence each other, in a way that depends upon their nature and placement. They are forced to interact with each other just like the passengers thrown together in the elevator.
With this placement, we must ask, whether this interaction will be to their mutual benefit or to their detriment.
Outcome
Outcome of a relationship with any particular individual is determined by the
- condition of the bhava
- its lord (position as counted from Asc)
- its significator
