A total lunar eclipse will occur May 15 and 16 around the time when the full Moon culminates at the end of the purnima tithi and the beginning of the pratipada tithi. Here is the time for NJ location (pasted below)
This eclipse will occur in the portion of the sky called Vishakha meaning forked path or a cross road. This portion of the space is ruled by Vedic deities "Indra" and "Agni".
Moon (representing our mind) is highly debiliateted and it is conjoined with Ketu.
This is a sensitive time of Deep emotions. Be careful with your loved ones. Please restrain yourself and do not take it out your frustrations on your loved ones.
Many times unresolved triggers, intense situations and emotional issues rear their heads during this time, yelling loudly in our minds to try and hook our attention. If we are swept up in a trigger or a heightened emotional response, we often don’t make grounded decisions.
Eclipse time is not about pointing fingers, it’s about going within and navigating through your own virtual reality to connect to the truth rather than the distortion.
Yogies recommend that we mediate, chant, recite mantras and do other kinds of contemplative and creative practices during an eclipse. This is because the subtle power generated during the time are personal or collective spiritual empowerment
