Muhurta for Dental surgery

As we all know, the moon has a profound effect on fluids - the tides are an excellent example of the effect the moon has on bodies of water. And as our bodies are made up of about 70% water, the moon also effects us.

Each zodiac sign rules a different part of the body, and the ancient philosophers (most of whom were also astrologers) cautioned surgeons never to cut into the part of a person's body that was ruled by a particular sign if the moon was IN that sign. The moon takes about 2.5 days to go through each sign of the zodiac, so it goes through all signs in about 28 or 29 days.

So, the main sign that it's best to avoid when having dental extractions is Capricorn, which rules bones and teeth.

If possible (but not essential) it might also help to avoid Aries (which rules the head), and I'd personally stay away from Gemini (which rules the nerves and lungs, especially if you're having GA)

The best signs are what are known as fixed signs - Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius.

If you're having extractions, it's also best to try and avoid a time when the moon is WAXING - meaning the 2 weeks between the new moon and the full moon. This is when bodily fluids are increasing and this can cause swelling, hemorrhaging or seepage from wounds. In fact, I'd recommend staying well away from a full moon - 5 days either side of it. The perfect time is during the 5 days before the new moon, but we can't always be that particular.
