If you have anything really important you want to initiate -- any new personal or professional endeavor -- there is a really great day coming up for this soon on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, known as Akshaya Tritiya, also known as Akha Teej or Akti, the "Golden Day of Eternal Success." “Kshaya” means destructible, and the “A” in front of it means “not,” so "Akshaya" means “indestructible.” It refers to imperishable joy, hope, success, and abundance.
According to Jyotish tradition, there are only a few days every year which are considered to be highly auspicious *all day long,* known as abuj muhurtas, when any "seeds" that you plant may become especially fruitful. "Abuj" refers to something that will be eternal (lasting and successful), and a "muhurta" is an "election" or prediction of an auspicious moment in time. This is one of those days. The next one doesn't come until late October, 2019 during Diwali. Don't misunderstand me...there will be other good muhurtas that a Vedic astrologer can find for you before then, but not the abuj/*all-day long* variety.
On Akshaya Tritiya, the Sun and Moon, King and Queen of the Planetary Kingdom, are each strong and "bright" in their respective exalted signs of Aries and Taurus (sidereal zodiac); and on this date, the Moon is waxing in the jaya (victorious) tritiya tithi three days after its new phase in the Vaisakha month, which is always either April or May, but this date changes every year.

Akshaya Tritiya is one of the most fortunate and sacred festivals which carries good luck and triumph in terms of new schemes, weddings, big investments such as buying property or gold and any new beginnings in general.
In Sanskrit, the word “Akshaya” means “imperishable, eternal, the never diminishing” in the sense of “prosperity, hope, joy, success”, while Tritiya means “third”. It is named after the “third lunar day” of the spring month of Vaisakha in the Hindu calendar.
It is believed that the benefits of doing any Japa (mantra chanting), Yagya (Homas), Tarpan (Honoring your ancestors), Daan (donation) on this day will never diminish.
here is the collected informtion:
Start the day with arghya for the Sun God. – Honoring the Sun brings invincible victory.
From Indian Mythology
- According to one mythology, Sage Veda Vyasa began reciting the Hindu epic Mahabharata to Ganesha on Akshaya Tritiya.
- River Ganges descended to earth on this day.
- Akshaya Tritiya is believed in Hinduism to be the birthday of Parasurama who is the sixth incarnation of Vishnu.
- It was on this day that Goddess Annapoorna Devi was born.
- Kubera received his wealth and position as custodian of wealth and property with Goddess Lakshmi on this day, by praying to Lord Shiva at Shivapuram.
- In Mahabharata, King Yudhishthira receives the Akshaya Patra (a magical vessel which holds a never-ending supply of food) from Lord Surya on this day.
- It is on this day that poor Sudama, the best friend of Krishna visits Him (Lord Krishna) to greet Him after He became the King. With nothing to offer, Sudama takes with him Poha (puffed rice) and offers it to his friend and never discusses his poverty though he wanted to. On his return he finds his hut changed to a palace.
- Adi Shankaracharya recited the Kanaka Dhara Stotra
– One day, as a young boy, he was begging for alms to prepare his lunch and he went to the house of a very poor Brahmin lady to beg. The lady was upset because there was nothing edible in the house. After searching the house once again she found one amla (Amalaki, gooseberry) fruit. She hesitantly offered it to Shankara. He was moved after seeing the plight of the woman and sang 21 hymns praising Goddess Lakshmi. The Goddess was so pleased that she appeared before him and asked him why he has remembered her. He asked the Goddess to grant riches to the poor woman. The Goddess first refused to do so because the lady had not done any work for a charity in her previous birth and it is not possible to change one’s fate. Shankara told the Goddess that she is the only one who is capable of changing the fate of someone by erasing or changing the writings of the future made by Lord Brahma. The Goddess was so pleased that she instantly showered the Brahmin lady’s house with gooseberries made of pure gold. The 21 stanzas became famous and are read by all devout Hindus.
